The Gordie Howe International Bridge, connecting Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan, has completed its final deck connection, marking it as an official international border crossing. Scheduled to open in fall 2025, the bridge is the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America and the 10th longest in the world, expected to significantly enhance trade efficiency, alleviating congestion that handles 30% of freight traffic between the U.S. and Canada.
