'I Am Legend 2' sequel

I Am Legend 2 is officially in development, with producer Akiva Goldsman confirming that the sequel will follow the alternate ending of the original film, allowing Will Smith's character, Robert Neville, to return despite his apparent death. The film will also star Michael B. Jordan, and Goldsman described the new storyline as exploring a post-apocalyptic world that has drastically changed, stating, "the world returns in a way that is kind of spectacular – an exciting playground for all of us." Although no release date has been set, Goldsman is actively working on the script and hinted at positive progress since the announcement in March 2022. He expressed excitement about the collaboration with both actors and the direction of the story, while also drawing inspiration from HBO’s The Last of Us.
