Chargers Rescued from Elevator in Dallas Hotel
Approximately 15 members of the Los Angeles Chargers, including players and personnel, were trapped in an elevator at The Westin hotel in downtown Dallas on Friday night. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and successfully evacuated the stranded individuals through a ceiling panel into a nearby working elevator after initial attempts by a technician failed. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. and everyone was safely rescued by 10:30 p.m. The Chargers expressed gratitude to the fire department for their prompt and professional assistance. This event happened a day before their final preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. Despite the scare, the team is prepared to face off against the Cowboys on Saturday afternoon.
