Arlington ISD Backpack Week

As students prepare for the upcoming school year, multiple communities are hosting back-to-school events to provide free backpacks and school supplies to families in need. In Arlington, nearly 10,000 students received supplies at AT&T Stadium, where families appreciated the friendly atmosphere and support from volunteers. Camden's event provided 997 backpacks along with haircuts and lunch, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives amid rising costs and changes to tax-free shopping laws. Greensboro's 'I Am A Queen' organization distributed over 700 backpacks, highlighting the struggles many families face in affording school supplies. The American Lung Association's 'Backpacks for Bright Futures' event in Charleston not only supplied 500 backpacks but also focused on educating families about the dangers of youth vaping. Lastly, Pottstown's Backpack Week aims to alleviate financial burdens for under-resourced families by distributing 500 backpacks across community locations.
