N. Muruganandam Appointed Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu Government has appointed N. Muruganandam as the new Chief Secretary, succeeding Shiv Das Meena, who has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA). Muruganandam, a 1991 batch IAS officer, has held various significant positions including Secretary to the Chief Minister and Finance Secretary. His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, making him a well-suited candidate for the role. The transition occurs just ahead of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's upcoming visit to the U.S. in late August. This reshuffle is part of a broader administrative restructuring aimed at enhancing governance in the state.
