Three Coaches Derail at Saharanpur Railway Station

On Sunday, three coaches of an empty MEMU local train derailed while being taken to a washing shed from Saharanpur railway station, but no injuries were reported. The incident occurred around 3 pm on the washing line, and officials confirmed that main line train traffic was unaffected. Divisional Railway Manager Mandeep Singh Bhatia announced that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the derailment, with track repairs in progress. Separately, a coach of the Delhi-Saharanpur passenger train also derailed in the station yard, attributed to a technical fault during shunting. MP Imran Masood visited the site, expressing concerns over the frequency of rail accidents and the safety of train travel. This incident highlights ongoing issues within the railway system, as the country grapples with multiple derailments recently.
