A two-seater training aircraft from Alchemist Aviation went missing shortly after taking off from Sonari aerodrome in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand on Tuesday. The aircraft, carrying a pilot and a trainee pilot, was last tracked near Nimdih in the Seraikela-Kharswan district and is suspected to have crashed into Chandil dam. Extensive search operations involving the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been ongoing, with only a pair of shoes found so far. The Seraikela-Kharswan district administration has sought assistance from the Indian Navy to aid in the search. Despite eyewitness reports of the plane crashing into the dam, the debris has not yet been located, and it remains unclear why the aircraft's Emergency Locator Transmitters were not activated.
