Darius Visser Sets T20I Runs Record in Samoa Win
Samoa's Darius Visser set a new T20I record by scoring 39 runs in a single over against Vanuatu during a 2026 T20 World Cup regional qualifier. Visser achieved this feat by hitting six sixes, aided by three no-balls, surpassing the previous record of 36 runs held by Yuvraj Singh and others. His remarkable innings of 132 off 62 balls, including 14 sixes, led Samoa to a total of 174, securing a 10-run victory over Vanuatu. Visser's performance also marked the first T20I century for a Samoan batter, and his contribution was pivotal as he also took a wicket. This victory keeps Samoa’s hopes alive for qualifying for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
