Santino Ferrucci Wins Pole at Portland IndyCar Race
Santino Ferrucci achieved his first career pole position in the NTT IndyCar Series, leading AJ Foyt Racing to its first pole since 2014 at the Portland International Raceway. Ferrucci clocked a lap of 58.2046 seconds, surpassing two-time series champion Will Power, who qualified second. This achievement marks a significant milestone for Foyt Racing, which has benefited from a new technical alliance with Team Penske. Ferrucci expressed his excitement, attributing the success to hard work and teamwork, while team president Larry Foyt noted the progress made over the years. The upcoming race will be held on Sunday, airing live at 3 p.m. ET. The field also includes Alex Palou and Christian Lundgaard in third and fourth positions, respectively, although Graham Rahal will start from 12th due to engine change penalties.
