Tiffani, who had a complex medical history including Rett syndrome and epilepsy, was described as 'extremely emaciated' at the time of her discovery. Police launched a thorough investigation, dubbed Operation Uniform Zoysia, which culminated in the arrests nearly two years later as evidence suggested insufficient care contributed to her death. The pair appeared in Southport Magistrates Court and are scheduled for a follow-up hearing on November 8.
