Eagles Claim Alabama DT Byron Young

The Philadelphia Eagles have claimed former Alabama defensive tackle Byron Young off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders. Young, a 2023 third-round pick, joins former Alabama teammates on the Eagles, including Landon Dickerson and DeVonta Smith. To make room for Young, the Eagles waived defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu. Additionally, the Eagles attempted to claim cornerback Samuel Womack III, recently waived by the San Francisco 49ers, but he was ultimately awarded to the Indianapolis Colts. This move comes as the Eagles look to strengthen their secondary, which has been impacted by injuries, including veteran James Bradberry landing on injured reserve.
