Disney Announces Major Theme Park Expansions

Disney has announced an array of new attractions across its theme parks during the D23 convention. Highlights include a new 'Avatar'-themed land at Disney California Adventure, inspired by 'The Way of Water,' and the first-ever 'Coco' ride. Magic Kingdom will see a new Villains land and 'Cars' attractions, while Hollywood Studios will feature a 'Monsters, Inc.' land with the park's first suspended coaster. Disneyland Paris will introduce a 'Lion King' log flume ride and a new entrance area. These expansions come as Disney doubles its investment in its Experiences division to $60 billion over the next decade amid recent dips in theme park attendance.
