Rapper Nelly was arrested early Wednesday at the Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights, Missouri, after an officer found four ecstasy pills on him during a search. The arrest stemmed from an outstanding warrant for a 2018 citation for operating a vehicle without proof of insurance. Nelly’s attorney, Scott Rosenblum, claims the rapper was targeted by an 'overzealous' officer who conducted an improper search without probable cause. Rosenblum asserts that Nelly was unaware of the warrant and is confident the case will be dismissed. The officer reportedly paraded Nelly through the casino, and Rosenblum intends to request an inquiry into the officer’s conduct.
