Severe weather has disrupted travel at Sydney Airport, leading to the cancellation of over 60 domestic flights due to high winds. Qantas has canceled at least 27 flights, including 10 to Melbourne, while Virgin Australia and Jetstar have also suspended numerous services. The airport is currently operating only its east-west runway, causing further delays. Winds of up to 120 km/h have been reported, prompting an extreme weather warning across New South Wales. Tragically, the severe conditions have resulted in the death of a woman near Albury, where a tree fell on her accommodation. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for updated flight statuses as conditions continue to evolve.
