Sri Lanka Names T20 Squad for India Series

Sri Lanka has appointed Charith Asalanka as the new T20I captain, replacing Wanindu Hasaranga after a disappointing T20 World Cup. Interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya, who has imposed stricter discipline within the team, arranged a six-day workshop with Rajasthan Royals' Zubin Bharucha to improve player techniques ahead of the series against India. The squad includes veteran Dinesh Chandimal and uncapped Chamindu Wickramasinghe, while star pacer Dushmantha Chameera is injured, and Angelo Mathews has been excluded. India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will play three T20Is and three ODIs in Sri Lanka, starting July 27.
