Mindy Cohn recently revealed that a potential reboot of The Facts of Life was derailed due to a betrayal by one of her former co-stars, who attempted to negotiate a separate spinoff deal. During an appearance on SiriusXM's Jeff Lewis Live, Cohn described the situation as 'devastating' for the cast, who had been united for 40 years. After a successful live recreation of the show in December 2021, which drew the attention of producer Norman Lear, the cast began talks for a revival, even hiring a writer and holding Zoom meetings. However, the backstabbing actions of the unnamed cast member caused irreparable damage to their friendship and communication. Cohn expressed sadness over the loss of camaraderie, stating, 'This kind of wrecked that, which is sad.'
