U.S. intelligence officials have confirmed that Russia is actively attempting to influence the 2024 presidential election to favor former President Donald Trump, using tactics such as social media misinformation and targeting voter groups in swing states. This marks a continuation of Russia's interference seen in the 2016 and 2020 elections. Officials from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) noted that Russia's efforts aim to promote divisive narratives and undermine public confidence in the electoral process. China and Iran are also being monitored, with China showing no preference for either candidate and Iran acting as a 'chaos agent' to escalate domestic tensions. Despite these efforts, no plans have been detected to disrupt the actual voting process. The Trump campaign has responded by criticizing Biden's stance on Russia, calling him weak.
