Boston Bruins Trade Linus Ullmark to Ottawa Senators

The Boston Bruins have traded 2022-23 Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for goalie Joonas Korpisalo, forward Mark Kastelic, and the 25th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. Ottawa will retain 25% of Korpisalo’s $4 million annual cap hit. Ullmark, who had a .915 save percentage and 2.58 GAA last season, is expected to become the primary goaltender for Ottawa, potentially working towards a contract extension. The Bruins now have approximately $23 million in cap space, and with this trade, they aim to fill other roster gaps, especially with an upcoming $1 million bonus due to Ullmark on July 1.
