The investigation follows accusations made by former employee, Janel Grant, and several other women, who have alleged sexual misconduct and been paid hush money. McMahon, who has denied the allegations, had a search warrant executed on his phone. It is believed that McMahon could be charged with failing to prevent the exploitation of his employees. Despite the intensified scrutiny, a settlement might still be reached, which would not necessarily imply guilt.
