India Cities Launch Cleanliness and Beautification Drives

Multiple regions in India, including Dehradun, Gurgaon, and Ludhiana, have recently initiated cleanliness and beautification drives to address waste management and public space revitalization. The Dehradun Municipal Corporation launched 13 vacuum waste-cleaning machines as part of a three-day drive to improve waste collection and public engagement. In Ludhiana, a five-day drive focuses on cleaning Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) and includes plantation activities and free compost distribution. Local businesses in Ludhiana, like Bikramjit Singh Madhok's tyre planter initiative, are also contributing by transforming discarded materials into urban beautification projects. Additionally, Aqua Paints in Bangladesh is supporting youth-led efforts to turn vandalized walls into vibrant murals, highlighting community-driven initiatives.
