Italian Soccer Legend Roberto Baggio Hospitalized After Robbery at Home

Italian football legend Roberto Baggio was hospitalized after being attacked by five armed robbers at his home in Altavilla Vicentina while watching Italy's Euro 2024 match against Spain. The robbers entered around 10 p.m., struck Baggio on the head with a gun when he confronted them, and locked him and his family in a room. The attackers stole jewelry, watches, and cash before fleeing. Baggio managed to break down the door and call the police, subsequently receiving stitches at a local hospital for his injuries. While his family was unharmed, they were shaken by the incident. The incident is under investigation, aided by CCTV footage handed over to the police.
