The incident occurred around 9:45 PM on Friday at the Fronhof square, leading to the evacuation of the area and the cancellation of the festival. No arrests have been made, and police have declared a major incident, urging residents to avoid the downtown area. Philipp Müller, one of the festival organizers, confirmed that emergency workers are fighting to save the lives of nine individuals. The festival was celebrating the city's 650th anniversary and was expected to draw around 80,000 attendees over three days.
