Hockey India Allocates Rs 2 Lakh Grant for Unemployed Players

Hockey India has announced a financial assistance program of Rs 2 lakh for members of the senior men’s and women’s core group who are currently unemployed. This decision, made during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lucknow, aims to support those who have not secured jobs in government or public sector organizations, particularly highlighting the plight of new female players. President Dilip Tirkey emphasized the need to ensure these players and their families do not struggle financially. The AGM also reviewed the progress of national teams and discussed initiatives for grassroots development and the upcoming Hockey India League.
