Bob's Stores Liquidates All 21 Locations
Bob's Stores, a discount clothing and footwear retailer, is closing all 21 of its locations across six states due to financial struggles and a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The stores will remain open until July 14, 2024, with liquidation sales offering discounts between 30% to 70%. The closures will affect locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. President Dave Barton expressed regret over the closures and gratitude to the communities, vendors, and employees who supported the chain over its nearly 70-year history. Gift cards and merchandise credits will be honored until the final day. The company is a subsidiary of GoDigital Media Group, which also owns Eastern Mountain Sports, unaffected by the closures.
