Christian McCaffrey Expects Playoff Return After Injury

Christian McCaffrey, the running back for the San Francisco 49ers, left a game against the Washington Commanders with a minor calf injury but expects to be ready for the playoffs. Due to the 49ers securing the No. 1 seed in the NFC, McCaffrey will not play in the regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams, allowing him approximately three weeks of rest before the postseason. McCaffrey, who had 14 carries for 64 yards and four catches for 27 yards before leaving the game, leads the NFL with 1,459 yards rushing and is just the third player in NFL history with 2,000 scrimmage yards in a season for two different franchises.
