Delhi Flood: 3 UPSC Aspirants Dead, Protests Erupt

Three UPSC aspirants, Tania Soni, Shreya Yadav, and Navin Dalwin, tragically drowned in the basement of Rau’s IAS Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, after it flooded due to heavy rains. The basement, used as a library against fire safety provisions, quickly flooded, possibly due to an exploded drain, with rescue operations hampered by darkness and floating furniture. The incident has sparked massive protests, with students blaming the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the coaching center for negligence. Police have registered a case and arrested the owner and coordinator of the coaching institute. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the flooding, and a magisterial inquiry has been ordered.
