Brighton Signs Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahce
Brighton & Hove Albion has completed the signing of Turkish international Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahce for a fee of approximately £25 million ($33 million), making him the club's ninth signing of the summer transfer window. Kadioglu, who can play as a full-back, winger, or midfielder, has signed a four-year contract that will keep him at Brighton until at least 2028. Head coach Fabian Hurzeler praised Kadioglu's abilities, stating he is an 'excellent player and a great character' who is eager to adapt to Premier League football. The 24-year-old defender has over 200 appearances for Fenerbahce and recently impressed during Turkey's Euro 2024 campaign, participating in all matches as they reached the quarter-finals. This transfer is significant as it marks Brighton's continued investment in their squad, bringing their total summer spending to nearly £200 million. Additionally, Fenerbahce, under Jose Mourinho, will receive 10% of any future transfer fee for Kadioglu.
