Steve Gleason to Receive 2024 Arthur Ashe Award

Former New Orleans Saints safety Steve Gleason, diagnosed with ALS in 2011, will receive the prestigious 2024 Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYS for his advocacy work and resilience in the face of adversity. Gleason, through his nonprofit Team Gleason, aims to improve the lives of those with ALS by providing support services and technology. He also received the Congressional Gold Medal for his ALS advocacy. Additionally, Gleason and Prince Harry are set to be honored at the 2024 ESPYs, with Prince Harry receiving the Pat Tillman Award for Service. The awards recognize their significant contributions beyond sports and service to the community.
