Texas Priest Arrested for Child Porn, Sexual Assaults

Father Anthony Odiong, a Catholic priest with ties to Texas and Louisiana, has been arrested in Florida on charges of possessing child pornography and multiple sexual assaults. Initially investigated for a 2012 sexual assault in Waco, Texas, the investigation revealed numerous victims alleging sexual coercion, groping, and financial abuse. Odiong served in Waco from 2007 to 2012 and in Luling, Louisiana, from 2015 to 2023. The Waco Police Department, which discovered child pornography in Odiong's iCloud account, is encouraging additional survivors to come forward. Odiong is currently awaiting extradition to Texas. Authorities emphasize their commitment to protecting the confidentiality and well-being of survivors.
