Tinder has launched an AI-powered feature called Photo Selector to assist users in selecting the best photos for their dating profiles. The tool uses facial recognition to identify the user and then scans their camera roll to curate a selection of images based on criteria such as lighting, composition, and clarity. Users still have the final say on which photos to use. This feature aims to simplify the profile creation process, addressing a common pain point as highlighted by a recent survey where 68% of users expressed interest in AI assistance for photo selection. Photo Selector is set to roll out in the U.S. in July and globally later this summer, with an emphasis on user privacy and data security.
