No. 4 Houston Defeats No. 8 Kansas after Overtime Victory

No. 8 Kansas Jayhawks dismantled No. 4 Houston Cougars 87-65 on Saturday in a top-10 showdown at Allen Fieldhouse. It was the 18th straight win for Kansas against a higher-ranked opponent at home. The Jayhawks shot a staggering 69% from the field and held the Cougars to just 36% shooting. This was in spite of the fact that Kansas turned the ball over 18 times compared to just three for Houston. This was the second meeting of the teams this season, with Houston taking the first game in overtime. The win puts Kansas within one game of first place in the Big 12.
