Charges Filed After Hampden Park Incident
Arran Watt, a 22-year-old Rangers fan, has been charged with assault and robbery following an incident outside Hampden Park on August 17, where a 51-year-old woman was assaulted and a St Johnstone supporters' drum was stolen. Watt was ordered to stay 500 meters away from the stadium as part of his bail conditions and is set to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court for further examination. The match between Rangers and St Johnstone, which took place later that day, ended in a 2-0 victory for Rangers. Additionally, two other men, aged 16 and 21, have been arrested for breach of the peace and resisting arrest during the same incident. In a separate event, a 43-year-old man has been charged with encouraging riots in connection with anti-immigration protests in Belfast, which resulted in 39 arrests overall. He is due in court on September 12.
