Man Charged After Fatal Dog Mauling Incident
James Trimble-Pettit, a man from Fradley, near Lichfield, has been charged with two counts of owning a dog dangerously out of control leading to the death of Ian Price, who was fatally attacked by two suspected XL Bully dogs in Stonnall, Staffordshire. Following the tragic incident, the then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced plans to ban the XL Bully breed. Trimble-Pettit is scheduled to appear in Cannock Magistrates’ Court on September 5, with Staffordshire Police continuing to support Ian's family. Tributes and donations have poured in for Ian, described as a loving husband and father, with calls to refrain from sharing sensitive footage of the attack.
