Man Accused of Killing Niece in Bhopal

In a tragic incident in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a man named Faraz allegedly murdered his three-year-old niece, Rumeja, by slitting her throat after a heated argument with family members about his unemployment. The violent act occurred around 10 pm on Sunday while Rumeja was playing in the presence of her mother and other relatives. Faraz, who holds a BSc degree and has been reportedly dealing with depression, was provoked by taunts from his family regarding his joblessness. Following the incident, police swiftly apprehended him and registered an FIR under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sahita (BNS), 2023.
