Space Florida Academy program

Space Florida has launched the Space Florida Academy Program in partnership with 23 school districts, including Putnam, Columbia, and Suwannee counties, to enhance students' skills for high-demand careers in the aerospace industry. The initiative was announced at a Memorandum of Understanding signing event, emphasizing collaboration with industry leaders and educational institutions to reshape perceptions of aerospace careers. Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez highlighted the program's role in equipping students with essential credentials and skills, thereby positioning Florida as a leader in aerospace innovation. The program aims to provide students with opportunities to explore aerospace careers through rebranded credential and certificate programs offered in nearly every high school in the state. Furthermore, the program will focus on meeting current and future workforce demands in the aerospace sector. This initiative is seen as a pivotal step in connecting education with industry needs to support student career development.
