Multiple Child Drownings Reported in India and Nigeria
Tragic incidents of child drownings have been reported in various parts of India and Nigeria. In Jigawa state, Nigeria, three teenage girls drowned in a pond while gathering grass for livestock. In Madhya Pradesh, India, three young sisters drowned in an under-construction septic tank filled with rainwater while attempting to immerse clay idols for the Nag Panchami festival. Additionally, in Delhi's Burari area, an 11-year-old boy drowned in Shakti Sarovar lake, a seven-year-old boy in Rohini was declared dead after being rescued from a waterlogged park, and a 14-year-old boy drowned in a pond near Porur, Chennai.
