UNDP AI startup

The UNDP's Acceleration Pilot Program 2024 aims to foster AI innovation in Africa, focusing on data, computing, and talent development to build strong local ecosystems. Applications are open until August 5, 2024, for startups based in nine African countries that develop AI solutions addressing Sustainable Development Goals. Selected startups will participate in an ecosystem-building event in San Francisco in November 2024, where they can showcase their work and seek investment opportunities. The program seeks to encourage responsible and sustainable AI practices and emphasize the importance of private-sector collaboration. Additionally, early-stage startups are encouraged to leverage AI for operational efficiency and market insights, thereby gaining competitive advantages. Emerging AI startups, such as Cognition AI and Helsing, are also gaining attention for their innovative solutions across various sectors.
