Fire in south Delhi
Two people were hospitalized after jumping out of a burning house on Portman Road in Ipswich early Tuesday morning. The fire service received emergency calls around 5:15 AM and quickly dispatched four crews who extinguished flames that had engulfed the ground and first floors without spreading to neighboring properties. The injured, a man and a woman, suffered lower limb injuries and were transported to Ipswich Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, in a separate incident in south Delhi, a fire broke out in a residential building, injuring 14 people, including two with burns. The blaze, which originated in the parking area, was extinguished within an hour, and the cause is believed to be an electrical short circuit. Investigations are ongoing in both cases to determine the specific causes of the fires.
