Mahomes Sr. Pleads Guilty to Third DWI

Patrick Mahomes Sr., the 54-year-old father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a former MLB pitcher, pleaded guilty to his third DWI charge in Smith County, Texas. He was arrested in February after police found an open container and he showed signs of intoxication. Mahomes Sr. received a five-year probation sentence with 'intense' supervision in the first year, avoiding potential jail time of up to 10 years. His prior DWI offenses include arrests in 2008 and 2019. The formal sentencing is scheduled for September 23. Despite his legal troubles, Mahomes Sr. has reportedly committed to living a sober life.
