Robbie Robertson Tribute Concert Scheduled for October

Robbie Robertson, co-founder of The Band, will be honored at an all-star tribute concert titled 'Life Is a Carnival: A Musical Celebration of Robbie Robertson' on October 17, 2024, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The lineup features music icons such as Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, and Mavis Staples, alongside newer artists like Noah Kahan and Allison Russell. The event is produced by Martin Scorsese, who has collaborated with Robertson throughout his career, and a portion of the proceeds will support the Woodland Cultural Centre in Canada. Ticket sales for presale begin on July 31, with general sales starting on August 2. This concert marks a significant moment, occurring 50 years after The Band's last tour stop at the same venue.
