Vistry North East Proposes 285 New Homes in Stockton

Vistry North East has proposed building up to 285 new homes on land at Summerville Farm, Harrowgate Lane near Hardwick, Stockton, which would contribute to a larger development totaling 670 homes. The development aims to create a sustainable and attractive living environment, reflecting the architectural styles of surrounding suburbs while incorporating green spaces and existing hedgerows. Plans include the integration of the Castle Eden Walkway to enhance recreational opportunities for residents. Previous approvals for the development were granted by Stockton Council, forming part of a broader strategic urban extension for 2,150 homes. Jonathan Rudge, project manager, emphasized the need for affordable housing in the area, particularly as other builders scale back their projects. The planning application is currently under review by the council.
