Parratto and Schnell Finish Sixth in Diving Event
Jessica Parratto and her diving partner Delaney Schnell finished sixth in the synchronized 10-meter platform event at the Paris Olympics, falling short of a medal despite their previous silver win in Tokyo 2021. Parratto, who came out of retirement for this competition, emphasized the importance of enjoying the experience and maintaining perspective. China's Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan dominated the event, winning gold with 359.10 points, while North Korea and Great Britain secured silver and bronze, respectively. Canadian divers Caeli McKay and Kate Miller finished fourth with 299.22 points. Despite their lower placement, the American duo expressed confidence in their abilities and appreciation for the support from fans and family. This competition may mark the end of Parratto's diving career as she plans to explore other sports at the Olympics.
