Madhya Pradesh Wall Collapses Kill 13 Children

Two tragic wall collapse incidents in Madhya Pradesh have resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries among children. In Sagar district, a dilapidated house wall collapsed during a religious event, killing nine children aged 10 to 15 and injuring two others. The incident occurred near a temple where children were making earthen Shivlings, and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced Rs 4 lakh for the families of each deceased. In Rewa district, a separate wall collapse near the Sunrise Public School killed four children aged 5 to 7 and a woman, while two others were injured. The police have arrested the house owners due to negligence, and Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has announced Rs 2 lakh compensation for each bereaved family. Both incidents have raised concerns about the safety of old and abandoned structures in the state.
