Bangladesh Commits to Investigation of Massacre

Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has reiterated the interim government's commitment to an impartial and internationally credible investigation into the recent massacre in Bangladesh during the OIC's 50th Council of Foreign Ministers in Cameroon. He emphasized the importance of due judicial processes while discussing the uprising led by students that sparked the second revolution in Bangladesh. Hossain also announced Bangladesh's accession to the UN Convention on Protection for All Persons from Enforced Disappearance and stressed the country's commitment to peace in Palestine and combating Islamophobia. The CFM addressed various issues under the theme of 'Intra-OIC Transportation and Communication Infrastructure' and unanimously adopted a resolution concerning the Rohingya Muslim Community in Myanmar. Hossain engaged in bilateral discussions with officials from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, highlighting the need for continued international pressure on Myanmar regarding the Rohingya situation.
