The new BBC reality series, 'Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience', follows five aspiring singers as they undergo rigorous K-Pop training to form a new boy band named Dear Alice. Narrated by Vick Hope, the six-part series showcases the participants' journey through 100 days of intense choreography, vocal coaching, and immersion in Korean culture, filmed at the renowned SM Entertainment in South Korea. The band members, Blaise Noon, Dexter Greenwood, James Sharp, Olly Quinn, and Reese Carter, represent a mix of backgrounds and experiences, including musical theatre and content creation. Each week, their progress will be evaluated by K-pop expert Hee Jun Yoon, aiming to emulate the success of previous K-pop stars. This collaboration with SM Entertainment and Kakao Entertainment America highlights the global influence of K-pop, which has transformed the music industry over the past three decades. The series is set to premiere on BBC One and iPlayer this summer.
