2025 4 Nations Face-Off Replaces All-Star Game

The NHL has announced the 'First Six' players for each team in the upcoming 2025 4 Nations Face-Off, featuring Canada, the United States, Sweden, and Finland. The tournament, replacing the traditional NHL All-Star Game, will be held in Montreal and Boston from February 12-20, 2025. Among the notable players are Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, and Sidney Crosby for Canada; Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, and Matthew Tkachuk for the United States; Victor Hedman for Sweden; and Aleksander Barkov for Finland. The event will showcase some of the NHL's top talent in a best-on-best format, marking the first such international competition since the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. The remaining roster spots will be announced between November 29 and December 2, 2024.
