Police Arrest Multiple Suspected Drug Peddlers

Multiple drug peddling operations have been disrupted across India, with several arrests and significant seizures of narcotics. In Berasia, police arrested two individuals with 800 grams of ganja, while in Jalandhar, a shootout led to the capture of a peddler with a kilogram of heroin. The Jalandhar Commissionerate also dismantled an interstate opium smuggling network, seizing 10.5 kg of opium and Rs 4 lakh in cash from two arrested suspects. In Andhra Pradesh, an interstate drug racket was uncovered involving the transportation of 60 kg of ganja to Maharashtra. Additionally, two peddlers were apprehended in Bhongir for carrying 10.2 kg of hashish oil with a market value exceeding Rs 1.52 crore. Authorities emphasize ongoing investigations and heightened efforts to combat drug trafficking and related crimes.
