Dylan Crews makes MLB debut

Dylan Crews, the No. 3 prospect in Major League Baseball and 2023 Golden Spikes Winner, is set to make his MLB debut with the Washington Nationals on Monday against the New York Yankees. The 22-year-old outfielder, who was drafted second overall last summer, has had a strong season in the minors, batting .272 with 13 home runs and 25 stolen bases across Double-A and Triple-A levels. Crews has particularly excelled in August, hitting .306 with a .542 slugging percentage at Triple-A Rochester. He joins a young Nationals roster focused on rebuilding after trading away key players from their 2019 World Series-winning team. Crews' debut will mark the fourth player from the highly-regarded 2023 draft class to reach the majors, following Paul Skenes, Nolan Schanuel, and Wyatt Langford. The Nationals are optimistic about Crews' potential as he joins fellow young talents James Wood and Jacob Young in the outfield.
