Oregon airport grants

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has allocated approximately $17.3 million in grants to various airports in Oregon, with Portland International Airport receiving the largest share of $7.7 million for significant runway and taxiway improvements. Additionally, Jackson Municipal Airport Authority is on track to receive $5 million as part of a larger transportation funding package approved by the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, although final approval from the full Senate is still pending. In Mississippi, Gulfport Biloxi International Airport and Dean Griffin Memorial Airport have been awarded over $3 million for infrastructure improvements. Meanwhile, Hagerstown Regional Airport is seeking $6.8 million in federal grants to expand its terminal to accommodate anticipated growth in airline services due to a 38% increase in Allegiant flights. These funding efforts align with federal goals to enhance airport infrastructure and improve transportation services across the country.
