The Sabarmati Express (Train 19168) derailed near Kanpur early Saturday morning after hitting a boulder placed on the track, damaging the engine's cattle guard. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported. Authorities, including the Intelligence Bureau and Uttar Pradesh Police, are investigating the possibility of foul play. The derailment has led to the cancellation of seven trains and the diversion of three others. Indian Railways provided buses for passengers to reach Kanpur, from where further travel arrangements were made. Emergency helpline numbers have been issued, and rescue operations are ongoing.
